Question 1

How fast can a photographer get to me?

Accepted Answer

It depends on who's online near you. You see each photographer's distance on the map before you book, and you can track them live once they accept.

Question 2

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Photo bundles start at $5 for 5 photos ($1 for each extra photo by default). Follow-me time packages start from $30 an hour and include video clips. Each photographer sets their own prices, and you always see the total before you pay.

Question 3

When am I charged?

Accepted Answer

You pay once the photographer accepts. The money is held securely and only released to them after you approve your photos.

Question 4

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can cancel any request before the shoot starts. If you've already paid, it's fully refunded. If your photographer says they've arrived but you can't find each other after 10 minutes, you can end the booking for a full refund.

Question 5

What do I get?

Accepted Answer

Full-quality photos, plus video clips with time packages. They're delivered to your phone during the shoot, and you can save them to your device. Before payment you see watermarked previews.

Question 6

Do I have to tip?

Accepted Answer

No, tipping is completely optional. If you'd like to, 100% of the tip goes to the photographer. You can add one when you approve your photos or up to 7 days later.

Question 7

How do I find my photographer in a crowd?

Accepted Answer

Share what you're wearing and a landmark when you book. During the booking you'll see a live distance arrow and can chat. You can also flash your screen red so they can spot you.

Question 8

Is my phone number shared?

Accepted Answer

No. All coordination happens in the app, so neither side sees the other's phone number.

Question 9

Who owns the photos?

Accepted Answer

You get full rights to use your photos and clips for personal use. Photographers can show their own Shotzy Pic camera shots in their portfolio, but customer albums only appear publicly if you choose to share them.

Question 10

How do photographers get paid?

Accepted Answer

Through Stripe. After the customer approves, the photographer's share (85% of the booking plus 100% of tips) is paid out to their connected Stripe account and then their bank.

Question 11

Is there an app?

Accepted Answer

The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. Until then, shotzypic.com works on any phone browser.

Question 12

Can I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time from your dashboard. Your personal data is removed and any open bookings are cancelled and refunded.
